The Dust Networks’ SmartMesh-XT™ M2030 mote allows OEMs to build global solutions using industry-standard 802.15.4 radios coupled with the industry-leading Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) to provide unmatched network reliability and ultra-low power consumption. The M2030 is tailored for use in battery- and line-powered wireless devices for applications that demand proven performance, scalability and reliability.

The M2030 uses the IEEE standard 802.15.4 radio, which operates in the global license-free 2.4 GHz band. The M2030 mote works with the PM2030 manager. The M2030 achieves up to 200 meter communication distance outdoors, while consuming as little as 51 µA in a typical network deployment. The combination of extremely high reliability and low power consumption enables applications that require very low installation cost for long-term, low-maintenance deployments.

The M2030 comes with analog, digital, or serial interfaces, which simplifies the development of a wide variety of end-user devices. When integrated into a product, the M2030 acts like a network interface card (NIC) — ensuring that data packets successfully traverse the network. By creating a “plug and play” environment, SmartMesh-XT products accelerate and simplify the process and reduce network risk with minimal user involvement.
