DUST NETWORKS ANNOUNCES NEW ADDITION TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Hayward, CA, (February 22, 2010)—Dust Networks®, the leading supplier of standards-based wireless sensor networking products, announced that Charlie Glavin has joined the Board of Directors of the company. Charlie is a Managing Director at MP2 Capital, with extensive experience in the investment and technology industries focused primarily on the semiconductor, renewable energy, and wireless markets.
“Dust Networks is already a market leader in industrial wireless, and their traction in new efficiency-driven markets, such as energy management, is a testimonial to their extraordinary low power technology leadership”, said Charlie. “I am convinced of the tremendous opportunity to wirelessly enable ‘Smart Infrastructure’.”
Dust Networks established itself as the market leader for industrial wireless sensing when its Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) was adopted as the foundation for the WirelessHART standard. Now leading industrial sensing solutions are powered by Dust’s SmartMesh™ embedded wireless products, including those from Emerson Process Management, Endress + Hauser, GE Energy, GE Sensing and Phoenix Contact. Dust Networks is now expanding into the Smart Infrastructure market with a forthcoming product line focused on Internet Protocol-based wireless mesh networking standards.
