Dust In the Community

Dust Networks and its employees are committed to building strong and productive communities. Employees’ philanthropic activities support a wide variety of organizations and initiatives. The following are some of the ways that Dust employees make a difference in their local communities.

Foundations
The Dust Networks’ team works closely with the Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF) to develop and organize meaningful community volunteer programs. EF is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts of entrepreneurial companies in the San Francisco Bay Area to support their local communities. EF enables companies like Dust to incorporate corporate citizenship, community involvement and philanthropy into their corporate culture.

Charitable Contributions
Annual Holiday Food Drive: Dust employees donated goods in the annual holiday food drive to the Alameda food bank.

Cherryland School Fund Raiser: company employees kicked off the new school year by providing students with much needed classroom supplies.

Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund: through generous employee donations, the company raised funds to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, many employees donated their PTO hours (paid time off that was converted to cash) to the American Red Cross and other third-party hurricane relief organizations.

Volunteering
Cherryland School Project: employee volunteers built custom shelves tailored to the school’s needs. These large hand-made shelves went into classrooms of this local elementary school.

Save the Bay: employees volunteered their time to make a positive environmental impact on local seashores. Many employees helped to collect native seeds and plant them for the future of the seashore.
